Christmas at The Priory gets off to a bright start

Christmas at The Priory got off to a bright start on Saturday 25th November as bumper crowds flocked to the centre’s annual light switch on.

A much-loved Coronation Street star swapped the Cobbles for the Priory to switch on the shopping centre’s Christmas lights on Saturday 25th November. The lights at the Priory Shopping Centre were turned on at 4.30pm by celebrity guest Steve Arnold who played Ashley Peacock in Coronation Street. The day was hosted by Trax FM’s Warren Miller and filled with plenty of fun festive activities, with one lucky shopper winning a £200 shopping spree around the centre!  Also in attendance was Darth Vader and the Stig along with the ever popular Help For Heroes Bears.

The build up to Christmas at the centre has already begun with the opening of the Help for Heroes Christmas store. The shop is open seven days a week until Christmas, selling Help for Heroes branded merchandise and clothing, all raising money to help servicemen and women who have been wounded or injured in the line of duty.
